On the Sixth Day of Healthy Christmas the gift I gave to me was the gift of MUSIC. This was a gift for my spirit. I definitely feel refreshed and renewed. I haven't sung in our Christmas Music Festival for years. My friend, Amy, joined the choir this year and when I didn't show to that first practice I got a reprimanding phone call. I'm glad we could sing together. I was reunited with my vocal friends from years gone by and was able to sing a duet with my surrogate sister, Afton. I met many new and fun friends who love music like I do.
Making it extra special this year was having James & Jacob join the children's choir. They were given parts to play on the handbells. Jon took care of the little ones for all the practices and managed them at the concert so we could be involved. It felt more like a family thing instead of something I did that took time away from the family.
The talent that was shared was remarkable. It felt so good to be part of something wonderful.
