2nd Day of Christmas

On the second day of my healthy Christmas I attended POWERFLEX. What's that you say? Powerflex - one room full of women with barbells. It's squats, lunges (lot of lunges), curls, rolls, presses, holding just 8 more, lifts, crunches, squeeze, and little bits of cardio interval step to keep the heart rate up. It's sweat. It's close to tears. It's tight muscles. Wonderful.

I found a nearly weightless bar and only put 2 1/2 pound weights on each end. I did NOT even attempt the 10 pound free weight presses. I wished that I had my 2 lb weights from home because I know that is challenging enough for me right now. I still can't do push ups so I hid in the back doing child's pose stretches during that time.

Peppermint candy cane ice cream smashed between two graham crackers was my indulgence of choice today. It was very merry although not exactly helping my tightened up figure. At least enjoying the holiday goodies post workout instead of waiting for the New Year is a good thing.

  1. I am so proud of you. It has been hard for me lately too. I lost my exersize partner of 4 years. Yesterday, Mel came over and we were able to run in the afternoon. Keep up the good work, It will pay off.

  2. Okay that snack sounds awesome! You could have dropped one off to me I would have let you keep Velzy for one of those! LOL
