Meet My Sister

This is my sister Laneea (pronounced La-KNEE-a) with her oldest daughter Jaylynn. I'm thinking of her today because it's her birthday.

She is one of the greatest gals you'll ever meet. We haven't lived close in well over 12 years and before that we were away at separate colleges. Yet she is one of my dearest friends (one of the perks of family - you always have a reason to get together eventually).

Her two girls are just months apart from my two boys. We were supposed to have our third babies together, but she miscarried and had to wait nearly 1 1/2 years after my girl before she got her boy. We are both expecting again. This time the babies should be only a couple months apart. We can't wait to find out what we are having. She's hoping for a boy & I'm hoping for a girl.

She is WAY into scrapbooking and has a beautiful style. She is a planner and gets her friends together for outtings. She decorates for each holiday. She speed walks like there's a tiger at her heels. She lives in a small town and doesn't have access to tons of shopping, so when she gets inside a Target she could spend hours. She attends almost all the family gatherings and arrives on time. I've loved the trips she's made to California so we could do Disneyland and the beach together. At her place we visit the farm animals, cook in the canyon, and ride four wheelers. I often wish that we lived in the same neighborhood. It would be fun to raise our kids together instead of trying to cram all the fun into a week during my Utah trips.
