I can't believe that my baby is 6 months old! He coos, yodels, giggles, & cries with enhanced volume. He is deliberate in his reaching and grabbing. He is very interested in the activities around him which makes nursing a trying event. We excuse ourselves to the quiet quarters so we both can relax. He has an improved liking for rice cereal & pears. Still he likes his meals served warm - even when we are on an outing and it's blazing hot.
Jayson does enjoy the swimming pool and being held by all his extended family. He enjoys playing with his toys in the ExerSaucer or hanging measuring cups in his high chair, but only for a short time. Since our two-week Utah trip, I've found that he is more content when we are out running errands - riding in the stroller or shopping cart- than hanging out at home all day.
He doesn't sit up on his own yet, but he's getting close. He can roll from his belly to back, but not the other way around. I don't think he has any motivation to do it. Another one of my babies that doesn't enjoy being on his big belly.
He weighs just over 20 lbs. which is why I don't stand around holding him all day long. I love him. I think he is the most handsome baby around! I love his peach fuzz growing back in. I'm sad that he is now rubbing a bald spot in the back.
He is going to sleep earlier and is trying to stay asleep until 7 a.m. (unlike a couple weeks ago when he was getting up at 4:30 a.m.). He still takes shorter daytime naps. One for sure between 9-10 a.m. and usually one or two more throughout the afternoon - short and sweet.

What a cutie!!! I love the red hair/peach fuzz:)
