These are the pictures from our emergency family beach trip. Since Jacob was having surgery and wouldn't be allowed to swim, we packed the family up and went to Corona Del Mar. This was Jayson's FIRST time to the beach. And is that him SITTING on his own? My baby is getting so big.
Jessica couldn't get enough of the water. Neither could James. He was usually too far out there for me to capture him without a longer zoom.
Jacob did a bit of everything. He was truly in heaven. He captured a couple dozen sand crabs, built sand structures, jumped waves, boogie boarded, twisted, jumped, splashed, made sand trails, and entertained my camera. I never did get a formal eight year old shoot, so we made up for it at the beach.
I never did get one with all four kids at the same time. They were all too busy, too happy. It was simply perfect. I've got 5 dozen photos to prove it.

ReplyDeleteJennifer - Sara told me about Jacob and I just wanted to let you know that there are more prayers and thoughts being sent his way. Your blog usually brings a quick smile but your recents posts brought quick tears and encouragment to remember what things are most important. I think you got a little bit of a miracle to even discover something like this at an early stage. He looks like a healthy young man who will prevail.

You and a camera, a brilliant combination! What an amazing talent you have! Your photos are all so priceless. I repeat what I told Rich earlier this year -- it's like Jennifer has a wedding photographer every day at her house (or at the beach)! My biggest mystery is, how do you keep them all smiling while you're snapping photos?! I can't look away for a second without some trauma happening! Anyway, you are amazing!!!
