Dear Mom-
Thanks for all the hours of dealing with a colicky baby. Thanks for caring even when I wouldn't stop screaming. Thanks for dressing me funny - I'm sure it was stylish back then. Thanks for curling my hair even when I didn't care. It shows that you did. Thanks for making dinner night after night even when I complained about everything (no mustard, no tomatoes, don't mix the foods together, my peas are touching the potatoes).
Thanks for being more excited than I was when I got asked to prom. It's great having such a great fan. Thanks for being the first one to stand for an encore at my choral concert. Thanks for crying when I broke up with my boyfriend. Thanks for worrying about my heart even when I insisted on letting it get broken again and again. Thanks for believing that I was smart and talented. Because I believed you I was willing to try to get what I wanted. Thanks for the music lessons and listening to me practice. Thank you for the music lessons even when I didn't practice - it must have been frustrating.
Thanks for loving my husband like one of your sons. Thanks for being a grandmother to my children. Thanks for coming to my house when I have a baby. Thanks for coming to my house without a reason at all.
Thanks for sewing my baptism dress. Thanks for sewing my dress for the daddy/daughter date. Thanks for sewing my prom dress. Thanks for sewing the crib set & curtains for my baby. Thanks for altering my bridesmaid dress so I didn't look so much like a giant blueberry.
Thank you for you strength and your faith and your love. I admire you always. I love you forever. The longer I'm a mother the more gratitude I have for you.
Happy Mothers Day!
We don't have enough pictures together. Perhaps we can work on that.
Love,
Jennifer

This made me cry. Your mom is wonderful and so many of your words are the same feelings I have towards my own mom. There's just no way I'll ever measure up to the great women (you included) in my life! But I can definitely learn from the amazing examples they set!
