Chronological Order is something I've had to abandon. I have to insert tidbits from the present despite the fact that I'd like to finish journaling about our Florida trip back in April. I'm getting to it slowly. Now I have returned from Utah with 1000+ images. Many of them just fun candid family captures. But dozens and dozens of them are images of family photos or baby blessing photos or my nieces' photo shoot. First of all, I don't know who I think I am. I know SO much more than I did a year or three ago, but I'm still an amateur with a very slow workflow. I've remodeled my photography blog that was extremely neglected. I make no pinky swears about posting weekly, but perhaps more than quarterly can be considered regular. I am NOT in business. I'd be fired for sure!!!! My turn around time is horrible and I'm still learning and trying new things.
I made the mistake a few weeks ago of saying to James that I was practicing. "What? You aren't going to show everyone these pictures on your blog?" Oh no, my dear boy, I am going to show everyone. I might even shared what I learned by getting in over my head. So though I'd like the photo blog to resemble all the work of the pros, I'm going to be okay with it looking like the extreme photo hobbist that I am. For my photography friends, please give me the feedback that I need or try to avoid the same pitfalls that I'm hangin' out in. If you don't care about the dialogue and shutter speed and ISO settings, you can scroll on through and hopefully you'll find some images to make you smile or make your heart skip a beat.
So now I humbly RE-present, MY PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG.

ReplyDeletePlease don't worry about hurrying for our sake. Even when I have the digital copies, by the time I get photos on the wall it's time to take new ones! (Not to say I'm not excited to see the photos - I just can't imagine how you do it with everything else on your plate!) I'm just thrilled you were willing to capture a moment in time for us. I can breathe easy knowing my kids may now grow up since Aunt Jennifer has captured them at 8, 5, 3, 2, and 9 mo. Thank you so much for that priceless gift!
