Where has the time gone? One month already. I don't feel replenished, but I do have a better grip. Jayson was yellow for way longer than I thought necessary. His umbilical cord stuck around forever. He seems to be the runt of the family because he hasn't piled on the weight like his siblings, so I worried about that too. He seems to be going through a growth spurt this week - cluster feeding for several hours straight. He drains his mom and then downs what Daddy & Enfamil can give him. His cheeks are getting chubbier.
I can't decide on a favorite. Which one do you like best and why? Please comment.
And here are some others from the afternoon. It was nearly impossible to get any of him sleeping/resting because he doesn't like to be put down AND he has three VERY loud siblings that continually barged into the front room to ask what I was doing and why I was STILL taking pictures. This was not a short portrait sitting. I had to feed and rock baby every other minute (or so it seemed).

I LOVE these pics!!! They are all so cute, but my top picks are #2 and #s from the top. To me, he looks just like Jacob only with red hair. :) I hope you can get more sleep. Jayson is sooo adorible!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are #3 (nothing's better than a sleeping baby) and the one further down where he's pushing his body up and we can see the top of his adorable head. I just LOVE his red hair. You are a lucky lady! Any visits to Utah soon? I need to hold this little guy!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the red hair. It reminds me of the color my Maura was born with. I wonder if he'll keep it! I like #2. All of them are beautiful. I love the naked ones with the white blanket further down!
ReplyDeletei love them all, but no. 3 is so precious and peaceful, but i like his eyes open too. can't decide.
ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the beautiful pictures of Jayson. #3 is my favorite too. He's wonderful. Good luck this week. I've always been nervous when my mom goes home and Steve goes back to work and I just don't know if I can pull off one more child on my own, but your capacity just keeps on increasing. You'll do beautifully. You've got the right idea, just hold him and rock him as much as you can!

Loved all the photos, but my favorite is the one near the top with him sleeping. I don't remember your others with red hair! What a darling baby #4.

Grant, Faith and I all agree that the top #2 is our favorite! He is adorable, and DEFINITELY looks like your other children.
ReplyDeleteLove you - hang in there - your poems brought tears to my eyes.
