I just dropped mom off at the airport this morning and I'm missing her already. I enjoy my mom's company and it's a special treat when I get her all to myself. She was here for six days. My home has been polished from top to bottom. We made it out to lunch a couple of times and spent a lot of time together while I sat in my recliner holding/feeding baby. Mom took a couple of night shifts with the bottle to try to help me get some more sleep. She carpooled my kids to school and My Gym. She was able to play with each of the kids and listen to them tell all their tales. Jessica got her hair done each day AND dinner was ready every evening. How am I going to do all that?! Probably I won't - I'll just keep trying to do a little more each day.

It's so hard when Mom leaves and she's still needed! But don't worry, Jennifer, you'll do great! Don't try to be supermom...just do what you need to get by until you can get a good night's sleep. Then you can consider becoming SUPERMOM yet again! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love all the pics with your mom. I see where you get your beauty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice mom you have. Now how do you transition without her? I lived with my mom with both of my babies, how lucky is that!! I dont know what I will do with my next baby when I am far away in PA.
ReplyDeleteI think we have the same dress. I have a black and white poka dot dress , did you get it at Mervyns? Maybe we can be twins one Sunday:)
I am so sorry! The hardest part of living here is that my mom is so far away, and I miss her so bad! Especially during those transitions in our lives! You'll make it. Your baby is a-dor-a-ble!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures of your Mom with Jessica are priceless.
ReplyDeleteMoms have truly mastered the whole "do-everything" talent, and our job is just to keep striving for it. They've had a lot more years of practice, and someday, our daughters will say "I can't do it without you, Mom!" and we'll remember just what they are feeling!
