Clean Slate

The truth is that I completely failed at my goal to read the Book of Mormon last year. I'm stuck somewhere in Alma. So at the new year I decided that I wasn't going to beat myself up about it, I was just going to forgive and forget and start over - a clean slate.

So when I received an invite from my cousin to participate in reading the Book of Mormon in 97 days in honor of President Gordon B. Hinckley, I decided that this challenge might be just what I need to get myself back on track. Notice my little progress graph on the right side of the blog.

You too are invited. Visit www.HinckleyChallenge.com and sign up. I think that I am warrior #4200.

I love how President Hinckley would wave his cane around - rarely using it as a crutch. With this challenge in mind, it makes me think of holding to the rod or the word of God. I need to go do some more reading before my vision is completely blurred with fatigue :)

  1. Yay! I'm so glad you're doing the challenge, too! So far I haven't done so great, but hope to make a habit of reading during the kids' naps each day! Good luck to you!
