Who Am I? - Poem assigned for Open House at School

Just sharing a poem written by James for a school assignment. The poem was formatted where he had to answer questions to complete the sentences.

Who Am I?

By James Stock

Who am I?

A basketball player, a boy scout, a Mormon.

Do other people really know who I am?

To my parents, I am the oldest and most responsible son,

To my teachers, one who always is ready to work hard,

Sometimes I am respectful,

While other times I am selfish.

I am part of the world.

Part of California,

part of a community,

part of a LDS church,

part of a family.

Mature when it comes to school, I am one who gets his work done on time.

Yet a child when around friends, I am a goofball around friends.

I am always hardworking, caring, determined, funny, and polite.

I am a positive person who will worry about everything said or assigned.

I dream about playing on a NBA team.

for a job,

for money,

for a family.

I remember when I did not like being a cub scout,

And yet sometimes I miss the good times.

Often now as a boy scout, I feel like going back in time and changing my experiences in cub scouts.

Sometimes I want to go to my own world,

Only to play basketball and play video games.

Who am I?

Tall, very blond, responsible, funny,

And most of all, a trustworthy leader.
