Sweet Sixteen

I've learned by watching Project Runway that size 16 isn't a fashionable size. It's seen more as a matronly muumuu. Beyond the stress of birthing four huge children, I've had them swarming around me constantly. Retaining an extra 40 pounds since Jayson's arrival wasn't ever the plan, it just has been the reality. So back during the back to school sales, I purchased some jeans that would fit me right. Nothing super fancy. The TALL, dark, Sweetheart bootcut size 16 - preferably with stretch. They fit me well. I was even asked a couple times if I was loosing weight because I looked so good (me biting my lip trying not to laugh). I was working out, but the weight was sitting around and watching.

On Saturday I kissed the sweet sixteens goodbye. I visited Old Navy on Black Friday Weekend and just downsized to the Sweetheart bootcuts - size 14. I haven't been to the gym in two weeks and I have been enjoying tasty bounties as of late. The work I did over two months ago is finally starting to pay off. I guess I need to get back to the gym so I don't swell up like a beluga whale come January.

  2. It feels really good to see the 14 again right? I miss our morning walks. Truth be told, I just miss your CA weather. It is freezing and walking in a circle at the church is borning. Plus, I don't have you next to me. Take advantage of your good weather, walk your kids to school. Fight the fight and you will start feeling better. Love you
