Christmas at our House 2008

Well, most of the images were snapped at our house. I do wish that I would have captured the Almond Poppyseed Bread all tied with the pretty ribbon. After baking 6-12 loaves in a day, it's just not in the cards to take pictures. Also, I often don't get them frosted, dried, and wrapped until the lighting is terrible. One of these years, I'll get a gorgeous Poppyseed Bread photo. You'll just have to wait n see.

  1. Your photography is beautiful, as usual, and now you need to tell me how you did your pictures like that.

PS. Love the baby's red hair, looks so much like my Tyler's did. I cried when I finally cut off his curls...they never came back!

  2. Andrea - getting the pics like that took a bit of trial and error. Any of my google readers or feed users would see that I kept posting and removing posts as tests.

I cropped the photos to a perfect square BEFORE uploading them. I resized most of them to 600x600 or 900x900. So that when they were clicked they wouldn't be way larger than the screen but big enough to get the picture.

My main-wrapper of the blog is 660, so I knew it could hold three photos across in the small size. I uploaded my pics SMALL and then deleted any spaces in between so the pics would be next to each other in rows of three.

Does that make sense? Good luck.

  4. Christmas looks like fun. We sure missed having you in Utah between the Holidays. It seems that we all didn't get together because your family was missing.
